Shoes!

Not even her own shoes…but hand me down shoes work just fine. And match!! Thanks Stella! We’re working towards getting her some of her own shoes, at about the same pace she is working on actually walking.

Photography

We figured out our remote to the camera. Amelia is much harder to get shots of now…she moves so fast and is very interested in electronics. She has her own remote, telephone, and cell phone. No, she can’t have her own camera yet.
We’ll have to work on not looking at the view screen instead of the lens!

Hopefully we can be a little sneaky and get some good shots of her before she crawls (or, yikes, walks) over to the camera.

Zapantas!

Our good friends, the Zapantas, visited today as they passed by Rockville. Allison went to grad school with Laura (mom), who married Conrad (dad), and then we all ended up in Texas for a couple years…where Josh and Katie were born. Elizabeth is their little sister. Amelia (and her parents) is really appreciative of all the great baby stuff they have handed down. We think of them daily!
From left to right: Katie, Amelia, Josh, and Elizabeth.

Here is Katie sneaking up on Amelia. Boo!

Catching up…

Amelia’s Fafa was in town last weekend for our fantasy football league’s auction. He won the championship last year. Here is is enjoying the trophy with Amelia.

When Amelia’s great grandma Laura was here, Amelia learned “So Big”. We switched the cue to “Touchdown” since she’ll see a lot of Redskins games this fall.

PS. We love the little head tilt.

Keep Moving Amelia!

Amelia has embraced the healthy lifestyle advice to keep moving in your home. Climb the stairs whenever you can! Six or eight times in a row!

We were doing pretty well learning how to go DOWN first, but now that up is so much fun, she has sort of forgotton a proper descent.

Hello, who is it?

Rose (Amelia’s babysitter) taught Amelia to answer the phone by putting her hand to her ear when Rose says “Hello, who is it?”.
The other day, Amelia actually picked up her toy phone.

Great Grandparents!

On Saturday, Amelia switched her grandparents for her Great Grandmother Laura, who is staying this week…so keep checking for more guest star photos. She read Brown Bear, Brown Bear to Amelia yesterday.

This afternoon she helped Amelia drink and play with a glass of water, among many other fun times.
