Our week
Shea and Mia Posey left today. We had a great visit and we will miss them.
Above is Mia with Amelia’s orangutan- Shea thought Mia’s hair sticks up like the monkey sometimes.
Amelia liked saying “Hi baby”, “Baby is sleeping”, and “Nice baby” while she not-so-gently stroked Mia’s head. She just came in, looked at the computer and said “Mia! Mia! Mukee! Mia!”
We all took a trip to New York and stayed with Grandma. Grandma was very good at deciphering what Amelia was saying. Amelia enjoyed talking on the phone to Grandma, and has added a 5th phone to her collection. She played with it almost all the way through New Jersey on the way back home.
We took a trip into NYC on the train. Amelia has a very flirty “Hi” to other passengers.
And enjoyed a ride on the horse carriages through Central Park. I really though Amelia would like the horses but she didn’t really notice them. She did like the ride, though.
Her new thing is “o-kay”, as in
Ethan: “Would you like to read your monkey book?”
AVJ: “Okay”
Ethan making toast for breakfast…AVJ said “OKay, toast”. But my typing doesn’t let you know how cute she says the word. Sometimes we get a “No, okay”, which I guess means yes?
She is very good at putting something in the trash and she’s learning to put her sippy cup by the sink when she’s done. Last night she cleaned up her toy drawer in the kitchen!
Last night, Grizzy got a kiss, too.
