Animal weekend
On Saturday we went to the zoo with Andrew, Wendy, and Carter. Amelia enjoyed the gorillas, elephants, and giraffe, and running around. She watched the gorillas here for a long time. They walked across right in front of her on that cement ledge and she loved that.
On Sunday we visited GeeGee and Giffer. We went to brunch in their dining room and wow, Amelia was great! She got to meet a lot of their friends, eat a lot of strawberries and grapes, and was happy the whole time.
After a long nap, Daddy caught her some frogs. When they jumped away, she said “fall down”.
Bonus cute picture- this is Amelia talking to her Daddy on the phone. After insisting “phone daddy? Phone Daddy? PHONE DADDY?!”
She surprised us this weekend when we figured out she knows some ABCs! She “knows” the last letter or two of each phrase. For example, if we sing “A, B”, she’ll say “C, D”; then we sing “E, F” and she says “G”. I was coloring with her on Saturday and I wrote her name and spelled it, and she said “R, Rosie”.
We taught her “beautiful” and “gorgeous”, too, because she is.
