The Amelia and Daphne Blog

One and a half

Amelia is 18 months old today, and we can stop counting in months. From now on it’s one-and-a-half, then almost-two, then two-and-a-half…People won’t have to stop and think ‘this many months = this in years’ when they ask how old she is. She’s now one-and-a-half.

Here she is enjoying some balloons (”boon”) that Daddy brought home from work.

And enjoying a one-and-a-half birthday morning hug with Daddy.

She got her last shot today, until she’s 4. We are psyched about that. She watched the nurse give her the shot. She’ll learn that she won’t want to watch that later, I guess.

Perfect report on all fronts (and backs and sides). She’s in the 90’s for percentile on everything. Which is better than, say, 50th for height and 92nd for weight. Perfectly proportioned.

She is saying 4 word sentences now, like “I go see Mama?” to Daddy when I left the exam room to use the restroom. And “I go see Nani” when they drove up to Giant yesterday (Nani is Hannan, Rose’s daughter who is the pharmacist at Giant).

Our favorite word right now is “wally” for wallet. So cute.
