Whale hat
Amelia has a new hat with whales to keep the sun out of her eyes. She hasn’t really wanted to keep it on her head, until she saw me wearing a baseball cap and wanted one too.
She suddenly loved this bear one day and he had to join her for breakfast. She wiped the cream cheese off his nose after I took this one. She loves to hug him (or her?).
This is a new toy from a few house-hunting distractions we got for her. She asks us to draw circle, star, and “ya-ya” which is her name for Amelia. This time, I drew her head and she drew the face. She was very proud.
She says “I sorry” sort of as a general ‘uh oh’ when she drops something or falls. We’re still figuring out all her uses of that one. She woke up from her nap on Sunday and in the morning on Monday saying “I sorry, I sorry, I sorry”.
“No” graduated Sunday to all-the-time status. She goes in two week patterns so I hope that one only lasts that long. Last night I asked her if she wanted more of different things while we ate dinner, always “no” and then she would eat it. I liked “no” better when it meant something! I think it took over for “O.K.” in her mind.
Rose said that on Monday Amelia layed down to take her nap and talked for an HOUR and A HALF before she fell asleep. She likes to practice all her words.
The best one (for us to laugh at) being “cool”.
