Sorry we have been neglecting you, Amelia’s fan club. I know how loyal some of you are! We are having a great time and she makes me laugh so many times every day.

Amelia and I go to the park most mornings. Despite all the playground equipment, one of her favorite things to do is “call Daddy”.

This picture might be neat in 10 years. You don’t even see payphones very much anymore.

We have had a few playground successes. She hasn’t wanted to swing in the bucket swings for months. Last week, she tried out the big kid swing. Sometimes she forgets that she needs to hold on, oops.

She also didn’t like any of the bouncy things on big springs. Today she really enjoyed the bouncy see-saw (below) and the bouncy motorcycle.

The very observant girl on the other end of the springy-see-saw asked why they don’t have real ones anymore (which I didn’t know). I guess these are safer because kids can’t get off them and leave the person at the top crashing to the ground?

She enjoyed her banana in the boat while she watched the lawn mowers.

“All girl”.

She actually keeps those glasses on when it’s bright outside. And leaves them everywhere. We went back to two stores last week to find them. It’s good they’re only $4.

She has a toothpaste and brushing teeth obsession. I am pretty firm with “Just once” with our toothpastes because she’s not supposed to have it. Now she shakes her finger at things and says “Just Wiggles” or “Just cheese”, etc., with my stern facial expression.

We taught her that “Andrew Jackson” is on the $20 and “George Washington” is on the $1. That is pretty funny to hear as she is digging through my wallet.

Our street is great. There are lots of kids and 5 or 6 o’clock seems to be the social hour. Three other kids gave her a tour of the cul-de-sac the other day. Two girls each grabbed one of her hands and they walked her around. It was a very sweet image.
