The Amelia and Daphne Blog

Schweisguths!

Amelia and her Grannie Annie & Grampy Ray walking in the city. We went to the roof of City Hall with Pete, a.k.a. Fafa, to see the view.

The sisters. I’ve been talking to Amelia for a while about how I’m a big sister and I have a little sister, just like her. Maybe she knows a little more about that now since my sister visited!

Cousin of Tawbubby Jackson turned one this weekend. Here are the one-year old cousins.

He (and we) had a great time at his party. He was the messiest post-birthday cake one-year old ever!

We made sushi for dinner on Saturday night.

Amelia enjoyed eating the steamed veggies. Can you see where she gets her blue-blue eyes? Wow, Aunt Melissa has blue eyes.

We had a great weekend and appreciate the travel marathons of our visitors.  Amelia was pretty demanding of our attention, realizing some of it was diverted from her, but kept it relatively in check the whole weekend!

Amelia loves the TON of art supplies that Aunt Melissa brought her- stamp set, stamp markers, glitter crayons, clay, lots of other markers and crayons.  Art may be coming soon to a mailbox near you.   And she gave her a DVD of Schoolhouse Rock.  She asked all night to watch it, and we managed to let her watch only 15 minutes of it tonight before bed.

Daphne’s getting over The Worst Diaper Rash Ever.  The doctor said “no diaper, no rash”, but doesn’t come over to wash the towels that, oops, get dirty in the process of drying out the bum.  The rash is apparently from teeth numbers 9 and 10, upper molars.

We’re ready for fall.  The wardrobes are officially switched out.   Fittingly, Amelia jumped on Daphne’s pile of (fallen) summer clothes on the floor and squealed “It’s leaves!”.
