We went to the lake this weekend to celebrate Bebe’s birthday. We all loved the cake: banana, chocolate chip, caramel. Especially Amelia. She told us many times this weekend how much she loves chocolate.

Daphne walked everywhere.

This afternoon we took a short walk down the road. She actually held our hands for most of that, but enjoyed it of course. She got good at walking very quickly.  She has several scrapes and bruises on her face, badges of honor I suppose.  We don’t even know how she gets most of them.

She hasn’t slept through the night, I think since she started walking. Finally this weekend she seems to be back to normal. She was very excited to learn to walk.

On the way home, Amelia thought she saw a “bald beagle” flying above the truck.  “What’s a bald beagle, Amelia?” She said “It’s a bird.” (Not a dog.)
