Daphne continues to express her strong opinions and is working hard to become more independent. This past week, she gave up her booster seat at the dining room table.

It was in the back of the truck after going to a friend’s house for dinner the night before. She looked at her empty chair, asked “Where my booster seat?”, then looked at me again and said “I don’t need it! I don’t need booster seat.”  After a few days, she is settling down and staying in her chair to eat. 

I am sure we would get in big trouble if we tried to get her to use it again. Even though her chin is now the same height as her cereal bowl.  She has also been quite feisty about refusing to use her bib.   She knows she is a big kid now.
