Happy Thanksgiving!
Some pictures that have been collecting…
We went to Rockville last weekend for the mayor’s innaguration (an old neighbor/friend). We stayed with the Smiths and went to their neighborhood park. Daphne loved this little baby stroller that was shared by another girl. It was easier to carry than push!
We also saw Gigi and Gifer, and went to our favorite park in their neighborhood.
Soccer is over. Daphne’s team was the “Antelopes” and her coach (and dad to her friend Ian) made these neat shirts using each kid’s name. She looked down at Daphnelope, and said “Daphne Johnson. Dear Daphne, I really enjoyed playing soccer with you. Love, Ian.”
We had a drenching downpour of a storm last Thursday night. It woke up Amelia, who was crying at the top of the steps when I ran back in the door, soaked while on a dog walk. Ethan was outside with an umbrella, looking for me, but we missed each other. She was understandably upset to not have a parent in the house! The next morning, I heard “Daphne, do you want me to tell you about the storm last night?” Daphne said “Yea!” and they ran into Amelia’s room, sat down, and discussed every detail of the pouring rain, lightening, Daddy missing Mommy with the umbrella, etc., with Polar Bear and Elly.
They love yoga.
Amelia’s getting to be a big kid, and it is neat to play big kid games with her. The NC Franks gave her Fairyopoly for her birthday (Thanks!). Here she is flitting her fairy wings for some Acorns ($$). We have played a few times, and she is ready to be the Wise Owl (banker) next game.
