Some pictures
We all went to The Nutcracker on Sunday.
Front row of the balcony is the place to be! Daphne loved it, and sat through 3/4 of the show. Ethan took her out, and then they stood on the side to watch the end.
Amelia is an experienced ballet watcher, and of course loved it too. She wiggled her tooth the whole time. She took her Tooth Fairy Box and even asked me to hold it under her mouth while she went pottt, in case her tooth would fall out! (I didn’t) Almost at the end of the ballet, Amelia leaned over and whispered “This was a great idea mama, Happy Birthday!” (It was my birthday).
Well, shortly after we got home, she asked me to check her tooth. I checked, and as I wiggled it, it just wiggled out!
The tooth fairy brought her a Sacajawea dollar.
She is reading so much now. It caught me off guard when we played Sorry! on Sunday and she could just read the cards.
She read “Skippy Jon Jones” to herself yesterday, sounding out the rhymes/songs that are in the book. Read the signs at the Tacky Light Tour house we went to last night. Schweisguths and Langs will be glad to hear we’re almost done with Winnie the Pooh- with me reading, but she reads a few sentences per page to me.

We got maybe a foot of snow last night!! Wow, it is a wonderful surprise. Here’s Daph flying down the hill in front of Catriona’s house.
Thank goodness she laughed when she crash landed into/over the shoveled path.
And then during lunch, Amelia came over, upset, about her tooth wiggling!! Now, she just came out of her room when she is supposed to be napping, and asked me to pull out her tooth. It’s not quite ready yet.
She has her toothfairy box all ready. What a big girl!!

This is so cool- a big leap forward for Daphne.

She sat down a few times this weekend to write ’similar’ stuff. She called this one her Letter to Santa. It is really the first time we’ve seen something that wasn’t scribbly. So exciting!
Tonight she came to Amelia with the magnadoodle, and said “I wrote a D!”. Time for lots of connect the dots.
1 commentA good investment
Amelia got that record player & records for her birthday. She listens to records several times a week.
We started reading the original Winnie-The-Pooh this week, so the W-t-P records came out a couple days ago. She was absorbed in this for a long time this morning.

Party on Daphne’s tummy
A kid in Daphne’s class is motivated to do #2 in the potty by getting stamps as a reward. Daphne is apparently following suit. Had some luck (skill?) today in that department, and she got party stamps (balloons & party hat) all over her tummy. We pay good money for this!!
Thanksgiving
First Thanksgiving was at Aunt Cheri’s house. Amelia had a jam session with Fafa.
Hey there!
A tree fairy has taken up habitation in Aunt Cheri’s back yard! Amelia left a coin for the fairy. The girls came back after dinner to find a pine cone and shell that the fairy left for them.
Listening for the ocean!
