Good stuff and fabulousness
Amelia made this beautiful card for her friend’s birthday. Left to right are Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella and Pocohontas. Art takes time. This took two days.
Inspired by an Arby’s kids meal toy, these are Amelia’s secret passwords. Shhhh.
A great job accessorizing.
Blurry but fabulous.
3 commentsPainting their new room
We are getting the current guest room ready for the girls to share. It’s a big room with their own bathroom. Amelia wanted us to paint the room black, because then she would sleep well. Second choice was to be “like outside”. So we are kind of redoing her current room (the green below), leaving the wall with windows blue (sky) and decorating whenever we finish. The green is done but we still have to correct the previous owner’s lack of taping on the molding.
Amelia loved doing this:
Roller was a bit too heavy for Daphne, but she loved painting on the wall, too.
Wonder if there is any correlation to her two recent events of writing on two walls in our house.

Daphne started dance class last Monday. Here are the girls in their dance clothes, before going to school.
The best part was Amelia being speechless at how beautiful she thought Daphne looked in her dance clothes. They are incredible sisters.
Spinning…
Amelia taught Daphne “Dead Bug” and “4 Corners”, including all of her strategy, on the way to school. For example, “I never go to the corner my teacher just called because then she won’t call that number again” (and you stay in the game).

Wow we had a good one. The girls were so much fun. We were lucky to still have snow on the ground for Christmas – crunchy at night, slushy in the day, but the ground was still white. Here is Daphne sprinkling her reindeer food and saying “ho ho ho!”.
And here’s her face when she saw the tree & presents on Christmas morning!
They opened their presents in about 2 hours total…it used to take us 3 days. Daphne had fun playing with each toy for a while as she opened them. Amelia moved more quickly through the unwrapping this year. We have all enjoyed playing their new games, and enjoying each gift this past week.
Daphne asked Santa for a Little Einstein’s toy. The girls are playing with her Little Einstein’s Rocket below.
Amelia asked Santa for a ring. Amelia especially LOVES playing games, and she is good at them! She also loves her new computer learning game & her Leapster. She’s really working on growing up lately, and those are big kid presents. I think Amelia wore her new cowgirl boots every day since Christmas. Which is much better than her blue crocs, this time of year.
Daphne literally squealed when she opened this Elmo hat. She adores it. We hear people commenting on her hat as we walk by when we are out and about, and several people have asked me where to get one (Bebe got it at Richmond’s Bizarre Bazaar).
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful and fun presents!

The neighbors packed down two good sledding tracks. Here’s Amelia in the chute!
A little snow in her eye
Daphne’s class dressed up with red noses and antlers like Rudolph for her holiday show. So cute!
Amelia’s class sung their songs outside and then enjoyed cupcakes in the classroom.
