It’s still hot!

Daphne and I went to her classmate’s birthday party at a really cool pool at a country club.  She, and all the kids, had a blast!!

They have a neat spray park next to the pool.

She is really brave!  And really wet.

She interrogated this boy “What’s your name?  pause  I said what’s your name?”, intimidated him, and he let her have the steering wheel to turn off the water.  Tough stuff!

Happy Father’s Day!!

Amelia has a pretty great cannon ball.

It makes a big splash.

Now she’s working on her hand stand and somersaults.

Daphne is super cute in her goggles.  She loves to dunk herself over and over under the water.

See, she’s pretty cute.

Solo Dad Weekend

Allison is at symposium, so it’s time for some QT with Dad & the girls.

Some highlights.

The girls went on a Hiking Trip Saturday night.

A little TV Sunday morning.

Amelia put on her sleep mask for naptime but didn't nap. Wore the mask as a headband all afternoon and evening.

Great Outfit # 497: For watering Mama's plants, it's important to make sure your pajama pant legs stay dry.

Playing in the rain

We had a storm tonight that was perfect for running around in bathing suits.  The road was warm from the sun during the day, too.

Click HERE for a video of the girls chasing their stick boats down the edge of the street.  This just makes me smile.

The cabin: happenings out of the water

We went to the footbridge twice.  There are rules.  No more than 3 people on the footbridge at once, no running, no swaying, etc. If there is an age to be scared, they’re too young and we’re too old, I guess.

I gave Daphne a walking stick, and this is what she did with it for quite a while.  When she was done with it, she said “I leaving my stick for another little girl.”

After crossing the footbridge, we walked along a trail until we could peek across the river at Gigi and Gifer’s cabin.

I’m still not used to this:

Great outfit #31.

I don’t usually put food pictures on tawbubby, but this breakfast was so good.

The cabin: in the water

The water in the Bullpasture River is 42 degrees F at points where fresh spring water enters the river, as in the picture below, at Ethan’s aunt & uncle’s cabin.  The girls are on a tube with their cousin Jackson.

The water isn’t quite that cold near Ethan’s family’s cabin.  Our friend Chris brought his dog Dozer- he went in the water a couple of times but didn’t seem to love it.

Amelia thought this was pretty fun.

She practiced and is showing some good skill at casting.

Chris caught two fish!

MS 150 road crew

We spent one day of the MS150 cheering for our favorite rider.  Daphne’s “woo-hoo” is the cutest!

Waiting for the riders to come by…
