For Grampy
I actually bought a newspaper today, for the ads. Amelia read the entire comics.
She didn’t get Doonsbury. I didn’t either. It was Afghanistan & politics- I don’t blame her!
Then she drew Skylock Fox’s “How to Draw a Lucky Mouse”:
Pretty cute.
1 commentFirework!
This is a picture of Daphne belting out Katy Perry’s “Firework” in the back seat of my car. Here, she has a hairbrush microphone (and I had a red light). She reliably pumps at least one arm in the air for the first chorus. It’s the best thing to see in the rear view mirror.

Daphne has a little more Irish in her heart than the rest of us. She has loved this hand me down shirt for two years. We might have to pass it on now, her belly sticks out!
Amelia and her kindergarten classmate made this Leprechaun trap. They were supposed to incorporate one moving part, a height no more than 12 inches, and use teamwork. They made 5 separate entrances, and a sign to lure the leprechaun inside.
View from the back.
Amelia got to take the trap home, by a roll of the dice. The green dots are apparently leprechaun foot prints! When the kids went into their classroom this morning, they found leprechauns had made a mess of their whole classroom with chairs turned over, pencil boxes in the wrong places, and green sparkle everywhere!!
Daphne helped me make green pancakes for their dinner tonight. Lucky little leprechauns.

These girls love their dressups. Grannie and Grampy got these fantastic outfits (aó dài) in Vietnam last month.
I had to hem Daphne’s pants quite a bit. Amelia pulled out a little sewing kit that was in her Christmas stocking, and started sewing on one of the scraps. She made a dotted line with a marker, to use as a sewing guide.
She did a great job!!
Great outfits #21: Here’s her outfit to run over to drop something off at Bebe’s!
